Celebrate World Book Day at Cobbett Road Library
Join us to celebrate World Book Day with a special event at Cobbett Road Library.
While the library remains closed, Friends of Cobbett Road Library have remained active and have been given permission to use the space for this event. The event will run 2.30pm till 4.30pm on Saturday 4th of March 2023 The event will include workshops and games for children with the amazing staff of Light UP Drama (www.lightupdrama.org.uk). Entry is free but workshop places are limited and therefore we require participants to register via Eventbrite here. What will be happening on the day? Drawing Competition: Re-draw the cover of your favourite book. Download the PDF form here or simply re-draw the cover of your favourite book (including the title) on a A4 size page. The best covers will receive a £5 voucher to spend at October Books [3 prizes available entry categories by age: 4-8 / 9-12 / 12+ adults entry are also welcome] Drama workshops/ entertainment The fantastic team of Light UP Drama will get us all involved ! If you can, come to the event dressed-up as your favourite book character for more storytelling opportunities. Raffle and refreshments There will be a raffle and light refreshments available for a small donation, to help support future events and community activities at the library. |
THE EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO EVERYONE WHO LOVES COBBETT ROAD LIBRARY. However, please bring some small change (there are no cash points nearby) for a donation and enter the raffle to support the work of Friends of Cobbett Road Library
IMPORT NOTICE: Any children (under 18) attending will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Registering for the event means you agree to remain with your children or young adults at all time. |
